Join us for a Workshop on Planning Your Garden, February 8, 10am-noon, at the Armstrong Education Center (directions here). Plan now to provide fresh, clean food for your family and for wildlife using the techniques of organic gardening and permaculture.  Gardeners of any skill level are encouraged to participate in this informal gathering and will come away with a planting list, schedule, and map of their own garden ideas.  Families are welcome!  Drawing and map-making supplies provided, or bring your laptop/tablet.

Stay tuned to our events calendar for future workshops on soil preparation and the propagation of native plant species, and check in with me anytime about your progress.

            You are cordially invited to enjoy and participate in the November 23rd Waterways Reskilling, 10:00AM-5:00PM, co-sponsored by the Mid-Atlantic Transition Hub (MATH) and the SUNY New Paltz Environmental Task Force.            The Reskilling is an opportunity to "experience the vision.... first-hand" of a, Transitioned, carbon neutral future use of the Hudson River in multiple ways through hands-on boat building, hand tool, nautical reskilling activities, a panel discussion and talks with Captain Nick Rogers of the Clearwater, Jim Kricker of Rondoutwoodworking.com, Groundwork Hudson Valley [http://www.groundworkhv.org/] and Erik Andrus, founder of the Vermont Sail Freight Project vermontsailfreightproject.org among others. Workshops, a barter bar, an interactive Rivers Mural, waterways films, and music promise a day of informative fun.

           Area Transitioners are invited to join the party, bring a potluck dish for luncheon discussions with New Jersey and Pennsylvania Transition-townsfolk who will join us, table to offer your materials, and envision a transitioned future with us.
